General Intercessions
Let us pray that leaders in the churches and other faith groups will act to help all of us who belong to the human family to recognise and respect each other and work for lasting peace in our world . . . (pause)
Lord, hear us,
All: Lord, hear our prayer
We pray, too, for community leaders at all levels of public life in our country, that they will honour the trust we have placed in them to work for the good of us all, including people experiencing economic uncertainty or personal challenges at this time . . . (pause)

All: Lord, hear our prayer
We pray for people who face danger helping others – whose lives have been affected by bushfires and flooding here in Australia and in Fiji – or who need medical care, food and somewhere to be safe: in the Gaza Strip and other countries being ravaged by war . . . (pause)
Lord, hear us,
All: Lord, hear our prayer
Let us pray for the good sense we need to use natural resources wisely, so we will have sufficient clean water to maintain plant and animal life and develop ways to limit carbon emissions into the atmosphere . . . (pause)
