Let us pray that – with all God’s people in our world – we will let Christ’s example guide us in the work we do, and help others realise what God’s love can mean for us all . . . (pause)
Lord, hear us
All: Lord, hear our prayer
We pray for those who are preparing to be baptised at this time, that they will know the peace and joy of a new life in Jesus, who suffered and died for us all
. . . (pause)
Lord, hear us
All: Lord, hear our prayer
As we remember what Jesus suffered, let us pray for people who are suffering in our world today: homeless people in our own city, the sick and the dying, refugees, those who have been imprisoned without a trial, children at risk, and family members who are being abused . . . (pause)
Lord, hear us ,
All: Lord, hear our prayer
We pray that public officials everywhere will be influenced to make sure all people enjoy religious freedom, peace and security . . . (pause)
Lord, hear us,
All: Lord, hear our prayer
